Product Description
During the pretreatment cleaning process before coating, a significant amount of oil contamination is washed off from workpieces. This oil originates from earlier stages, such as storage, rust prevention, machining, and stamping, and often consists of emulsified oils. If not promptly removed, these oils can degrade the cleaning solution, reduce cleaning efficiency, and increase wastewater treatment costs. Additionally, oil contamination can compromise bath stability and lower product qualification rates.
To address this issue, an oil-water separator is essential for the degreasing stage of the coating production line.
Key Features
1. Dual-Stage Heating Demulsification & Gravity Separation
- The separator heats the cleaning solution to 70-80°C, altering the electrical field of tiny oil droplets to reduce repulsion and encourage coalescence into larger droplets, facilitating gravity separation.
2. Efficient Removal of Floating and Suspended Oils
- The floating oil tracking system efficiently removes surface oil films.
- Simultaneously, the system separates suspended oil droplets in the middle layer of the cleaning solution.
3. Adjustable Liquid Level Control
- The built-in liquid level adjustment system ensures efficient oil discharge while retaining clean solution, preventing unnecessary waste.
4. No Consumables & Continuous Operation
- The system is designed for continuous circulation without requiring additional consumable materials, ensuring long-term cost savings and ease of maintenance.
Applications
- Oil separation in degreasing solutions used in industrial cleaning processes before coating.
- Removal of emulsified oils originating from storage, rust prevention, machining, and stamping operations.
- Improves cleaning quality, extends cleaning solution life, reduces costs, and minimizes wastewater treatment burdens.
Separation Process
1. The contaminated solution is pumped into the oil-water separator via two inlets:
- One intake removes surface floating oils
- Another intake targets suspended oil droplets in the middle layer
2. The solution passes through the dual-stage high-temperature demulsification chamber, where heat modifies the electrical field of tiny oil droplets, reducing repulsion and promoting coalescence into larger droplets.
3. Gravity separation occurs, allowing oil to float and be discharged through an oil-separation tank, while clean liquid is directed to a clean-liquid reservoir.
4. A liquid level-controlled transfer pump returns the purified solution to the degreasing tank, ensuring continuous operation and maintaining cleaning efficiency.
This oil-water separator optimizes degreasing efficiency, enhances product quality, and reduces overall operational costs, making it an essential component in coating production lines.
